Arrests Made in the Marine Veteran Beating Crime


The Bronze Star war veteran, Chris Marquez is fortunate the wounds from the beating, at the hands of three juvenile offenders,  he took will heal.  Marquez chose to ignore this group of taunting teens who were baiting him with the questions, “Do black lives matter?”

Fortunately the surveillance footage has helped DC Metropolitan Police Department find and arrest two of the three suspects.  One their website DC Metropolitan Police Department has posted the following information.

A victim was exiting a restaurant in the area when he was assaulted by suspect one.  Suspect two then proceeded to take a wallet that carried a student identification card, credit cards and cash from the victim’s pocket. A third suspect also assaulted the victim.  The suspects then fled the scene.

This investigation is on-going and any information can be reported to the department.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727-9099.  Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by text messaging 50411.  Crime Solvers of Washington, DC currently offers a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in the District of Columbia.
