Floods, earthquakes, plagues, wars, droughts. Many biblical scholars see an increase in these disasters as signs pointing to the end of the age. And when these events occur in greater frequency and severity, like a woman experiencing birth pangs, the end grows even nearer. Add to that the belief that if these events happen in Israel, then the prophetic clocks gets moved just that much closer to midnight.
So when the water level in Lake Kinneret, or the Sea of Galilee, dropped so low that Kinneret Island appeared, folks in that area got worried about having enough water, while others saw this as just one more sign that we don’t have much time left on this planet.
It’s not just Christians whose beliefs include an apocalyptic end-times scenario. The Jewish Talmud also makes reference to the times of the end including a reference to the coming of the Jewish Messiah. Even more ominously, Kinneret Island is part of this prophecy.
So what may seem to be just one more crisis in the Middle East, may portend something far greater.

I really do not know if christian prophecies say something about this but i must debunk the claim that there is a jewish prophecy regarding this. The only reference to an actual location within the talmud (usually sold as a set of around 70 volumes…And that does not include the even larger jerusalem talmud) over multiple websites was tractate sanhedrin 97a, which does in fact chronicle several prophecies regarding signs of the messianic age. There is no explicit mention of the sea of galilee, but only a glossing over of drought as one of seven signs that all appear in sequence during a sabbatical cycle. The signs preceding drought have not happened and we are not in the correct part of the sabbatical cycle. Of course this says nothing about ecological and geopolitical implications nor is this an argument against anything this may mean to christians, I am doing nothing more than refuted the claim this is a sign given by the talmud.
we are not in the end times yet for a lot of reasons jeeze I just people stop focusing on the end and start focusing on the now! the end will come when its ready God will be ready.
