In the heated controversy raging around the events in Charlottesville, Virginia last weekend, a Vermont man has learned a valuable lesson – sticking up for someone whose views you don’t even agree with could result in a grim circumstance. He also found out the pitfalls of commenting on social media.
While the left-wing mainstream media and spineless Republicans excoriate President Donald Trump for correctly pointing out that both alt-right and alt-left have hateful people prone to violence, someone with common sense trying to bridge that gap almost wound up dead.
In ultra-liberal Burlington, Vermont, so-called “tolerant” people found it unacceptable for a local man to attend the Unite the Right rally. When they tried to get him fired and have his child taken away, an old friend stepped up to defend him on social media.
That’s when things deteriorated quickly. On the next page, find out the fascist manner in which so-called “anti-fascists” deal with people they don’t like or whose views they don’t approve of.
The lies of the media fed this frenzy!
Because the media narrative has been SO one-sided, we suppose we have to belabor the obvious: What happened in Charlottesville was a sick tragedy and there’s no excuse for it. Nor is there any excuse or sympathy for white supremacists who walk around chanting “blood and soil.”
That said, the evil of these groups does not automatically make the other side innocent. And like it or not, we have something called the First Amendment. It guarantees groups like those that showed up in Charlottesville the right to chant their ugly slogans and march peacefully. It does not – obviously – give them the right to run their car into their ideological enemies. But while that same First Amendment gives groups like the Workers World Party and Antifa the right to show up and counter-protest, it does not – obviously – give them the right to destroy property or attack white nationalists with clubs and Mace.
That’s the point President Trump was desperately trying to make this week. There’s no room for violence and hatred. Period. It doesn’t matter if that violence comes wrapped in a liberal cloak or a$#%&!@*flag. But the media didn’t want to hear it. Because that would have entailed actually telling their viewers and readers that a group like Antifa cannot be dismissed as simply being “anti-fascist.” That…that really doesn’t cover it.
Antifa’s logo
Please try this$#%&!@*in my town you spineless little pussys
Give me a reason to shoot to kill
Democrats and liberals are the ones doing the violence!
Tlime to call out the National Guard and start arresting ALL these Hate groups. I don’t care what color they are. This is enough violence and hate, hate and violence is all they teach.
WHAT IS ANTIFA? & WHO STARTED IT?
“Antifa, originally known in its native Germany as Antifaschistische Aktion, was founded as the militant wing of the German Communist Party. In the 1930s, it was known to be every bit as violent as its$#%&!@*opponents. After World War Two, Antifa groups re-formed in Germany to collaborate with Soviet communists on subduing the country and rooting out its past to create a new socialist utopia. They were active in Communist-controlled East Germany until that country’s Stalinist leadership got fed up, broke the groups up, and sent many of their leaders to gulags.
When not the subject of national news attention, Antifa groups are even more wantonly violent. In 2012, as many as 18 Antifas from Bloomington, Indiana, the University of Indiana’s college town, busted into a family restaurant in Tinley Park, Illinois, a southern suburb of Chicago, because they heard a meeting of a tiny organization called the Illinois European Heritage Association.
Unprovoked, the men smashed up the restaurant and attacked diners and employees, including those with absolutely no connection to the European Heritage Association lunch with clubs, crowbars, and batons. Only five of the assailants were ever caught and charged. Not one snitched on his fellow Antifas, and all served several years in prison. They are still regarded as heroes in the Antifa community, known as the Tinley Park Five.
It’s time for the DOJ to declare antifa a terrorist organization and deal with them accordingly… This group thinks they have a right to suppress peoples First Amendment Rights. That makes them just as bad as any$#%&!@*group. Communists version of$#%&!@*Brownshirts is right!!
