It seems that at every turn we witness an invasion of our privacy in one form or another. While we are, unfortunately and perhaps quite deliberately, getting accustomed to hearing about violations from law enforcement and governmental agencies, it is even more disheartening to hear about private businesses that engage in trashing our Constitution, breaking down trust to a point where society becomes to degraded to support the higher levels of civility.
The website ancestry.com has been caught giving their clients DNA to police without a warrant being served.

Ok….first I’m pretty sure your giving them DNA, once your DNA is no longer on your person, it’s fair game….like in countless cases where police dug through trash trying to find discarded cups, and cigarette butts. You willingly handed over your DNA to a company, you signed away your right to privacy, no warrent needed.
What about all of those roadblocks that were set up around the Country where you could NOT refuse to give a DNA sample? I never encountered one.
LIFE IN PRISON. That crime is intolerable
I was warning people about giving up their DNA to Ancestry for exactly this reason. I knew the can of worms that could be potentially opened by submitting it.
I wanted to do this but was not sure if could trust them now I know I was right
