The Albuquerque Police Department is so well known for its incessant use of violence against citizens that even the Department of Justice initiated an investigation and found a ‘pattern or practice of use of excessive force’.
The final straw that caused the protest was when APD killed a 50-year-old Air Force veteran, Armand Martin, outside his home in a stand off with SWAT.
Actually, we’ve seen a dramatic rise in police brutality across this country in recent years. Our cops have become thugs who work for a corrupt government. We should expect more such protests until the infection in our law enforcement and in our government has been removed.
WE WILL TYAKE OUR COUNTRY BACK, ONE STATE AT A TIME
Ruben Valenzuela…
amen, its time to make a stand indeed.look at Nevada and the bundys.
No cure burn em they either know they are pawns of evil or don’t care either way fire cures all
The way to fix this PD is to hang the chief and the officers envolved after they are charged and found guilty of murder by a citizens vigilante court made up of the people of the community. Maybe then the rest of the police officers will remember the oaths they all took and who they are to serve and protect.
don’t say that on any of their news channels, New Mexicans love their police state https://www.facebook.com/TheAlbuquerqueJournal
Of course there has been a rise in police brutality and I suggest it is tied to the increased militarization of police departments.
It isn’t only in New Mexico….
Good. Arrest those cops. Try them by a jury of 12 Albuquerque residents.
Every single police force must undergo a complete investigation and removal of all of its in house violent offenders!
