Madison police officer Eric Parker has turned himself in for assault after he severely injured an Indian citizen visiting family in an affluent community in northern Alabama.
57-year-old Sureshbhai Patel was standing outside his son’s home when he was confronted by police who state that they were responding to a call regarding a suspicious person.
As seen in the video, Parker made no effort to properly identify Patel, who doesn’t speak English, instead immediately resorting to brute force.

Talking to someone is one thing, all the cops involved should go to jail not just the one who slammed him. Every cop there that did not arrest the other cop is accomplice to the crime. They committed a crime, the old man did not. Im sick of cops braking the law and getting away with it. And I totally agree if you moved to this country you should speak English. If you visit this country you should not be required to speaking English. I don’t speak French I do not speak German or Russian. And I will visit all them places.
Idiot
How sad that an old man gets slammed to the ground like that! I very much support our police force however it is disturbing this cop thinks three cops can’t control an old man without this level of force! I almost always side with the police but this behavior is BS!
He’s somebody’s weak grandpa, the cop over reacted. Pure bull$#%&!@*.
Maybe you sir should start first. Learn some $#%&!@*ing English. Sincerly the Mexican.

While 8 f8rmly bel8eve any9ne who intends to make the USA thier home (as opposed to visitors who plan to go back to 5hier home country by months end) should be fluent in english at least to the point they can maintain a meaningful conversation with a third grader.
A man mi ding his own business should not be punished for not speaking english, Detained long enough for family or a translator to communicate for him maybe but not tazed, shot or otheewise harmed if there is no percieved threat to the officers.
just plain sicking
