This rat trap anyone can build. You make it once and it catches many rats.
A bucket, some peanut butter, a pipe and some water. Yup, that’s pretty simple.
One improvement suggested by someone using this trap is to add antifreeze to the water, which instantly kills the rats.
hmmmmm, got to give this a try. Our cat is getting too old to chase the field mice… they are trying to move into out shed.
Rats avoid anyplace with cat urine. Feed the feral cats and you won’t have mice or rats or bugs. Antifreeze is a very bad idea; it will kill dogs and cats.

Why go through the trouble of building this when there is an easier way. Mice and rats can’t pass gas so put some Coke or Pepsi in an old jar lid and put it in spots where the rodents travel or hide. When they drink it, they get gas and their stomachs explode or rupture.
Dead varmint.
On the other hand the bucket would make for easier clean up.
