This rat trap anyone can build. You make it once and it catches many rats.
A bucket, some peanut butter, a pipe and some water. Yup, that’s pretty simple.
One improvement suggested by someone using this trap is to add antifreeze to the water, which instantly kills the rats.
A friend did this 25 yrs ago with the bucket. – a beer can wrapped in bacon – it worked very good. Went back to camp next week -had a half bucket of mice.
Oh yeah —-5 gal bucket — 2 gal. Water
the ROLLER CAN Must be smaller or they will hop right off the Peanut Butter coated Merry Go Round./…Bacon can be used . ****NOTE AntiFreeze/Glycol should ONLY be used when this is set up in a UNOCCUPIED Dwelling/Cabin etc or PET FREE Dwelling so the*Drowning POOL* does NOT FREEZE. Of Course you can you the PET SAFE/ or Food Grade Glycol if there are PETS around. it is very effective with MICE& Chipmunks too ….They are extremely Destructive. I also have a TIN CAT Set up.. Oh My Word that is Creepy but effective WE Have disposed of Over 200 rodents so far at Our Tupper Lake Adirondacks Cabin (y)
Why not keep it dry and move the mice somewhere else? No need to kill anything……
