This rat trap anyone can build. You make it once and it catches many rats.
A bucket, some peanut butter, a pipe and some water. Yup, that’s pretty simple.
One improvement suggested by someone using this trap is to add antifreeze to the water, which instantly kills the rats.

Add just an inch of tap water. It prevents the mice from jumping out

I don’t think you can even buy the antifreeze that we used to use….. they changed the formulation so it is not supposed to poison dogs and cats. I don’t think they will even drink the new stuff.
