Pope Francis continues to make headlines that are hard to believe come from a man who claims not only to be a Christian, but the man who speaks on behalf of Roman Catholics worldwide. That there is talk of members of the College of Cardinals becoming distraught with this man comes as no surprise. He makes some extraordinary comments and engages in deeply troubling acts.
Whatever the reason for his comments, the Pope is just wrong. Writing that offers no pleasure as there tens of millions of wonderful followers of the Roman Catholic faith in America alone. But to the extent that policy might be made or influenced by this Pope’s statements is a measure of the danger of this error, deliberate or otherwise.

I think the Pope is taking the issue from a strictly religious sense in which no man can do harm against another in the eyes of God. That may look like a contradiction and I may not have worded it properly but that seems to be the meaning to the message.
