Scientists sure must be happy that they managed to successfully rename “global warming” as “climate change.” Otherwise, they would have lots of explaining to do this month.
The rebranding really has been convenient for believers in the phenomenon. Now they can blame any weather event on the scientific theory. No matter if it’s getting hotter or colder or raining more or less, everything can is now attributable to the purposefully generic “climate change.”
And good thing, too. The second half of 2016 has bucked the recent trend of rising global temperatures. The world’s temperature actually declined faster in the past few months than ever before.
Theoretically, this should be good news for global warming alarmists. A cooling planet should offset their fears of higher recent temperatures — but that doesn’t fit their narrative.
