In America in 2016, we live in a time and culture of safe spaces, participation trophies, and gender-neutrality. Nowadays, we teach our children that everybody is a winner and instill in them the belief that they are to be rewarded just for showing up. While nobody wants to upset children and discourage them, this tactic simply holds up mediocrity as a virtue and teaches them to coast through life on the merits of others.
This reveals the core reason why socialism has never worked. When a society encourages everyone to be mediocre and offers no incentive for innovation and leadership, it stands no chance of success.

Oops, is the day we think about leaving, I guess (and, not to Canada — they are trying to change their anthem to “include” everybody (good grief). I used to ride the political fence. The day I hear Trump say what he was thinking — and mean it, I fell off right, HARD. Thank God someone has come along that can lead the rest of us peons in the PC war. If one of us says anything, we can be arrested for a hate crime. Hopefully, the PC train can be derailed before our darlings get to the age where they find out that mediocrity is just that.
