Oklahoma legislators have just passed a bill which seems to follow the Obama pattern of ignoring established law and calling something by another name in order to gain some cover.
In this case, they passed a bill making it a felony for doctors to perform abortions. Abortion is clearly legal after the landmark (and duplicitous) Supreme Court decision Roe v Wade that in 1973 guaranteed a woman’s right to privacy under the 14th amendment, so it seems the route Oklahoma has taken is to make it a felony for a doctor to perform an abortion. That seems to stretch the concept, and will surely be challenged.

A ruling on the Supreme Court effects all states. If they rule something is legal in one state it applies to all seems like you need to do some homework buddy. Let me know if you need help with the big words.
Mary Fallin vetoed this, said it was “too vague”
We now have the Plan B pills for those cases so they are not an excuse any longer. There are a lot of rape victims that have their children and give them up for adoption. Most keep and love their children dearly. An innocent baby should not die because of the actions of the biological father. Also, the percentage of pregnancies due to rape, etc is 5% and that was Before the Plan B pills. Of course that is not the woman’s fault or responsibility. But the decisions she makes afterwards is. If you let it destroy your life or if you stand strong and move forward. If you move forward, the no good bastard doesn’t win. We have to be honest and remember we would have stricter laws on rape if so many women didn’t falsely accuse men of rape out of anger or revenge. We all know the kind of world we are living in. Learn to protect yourself. Because, sadly, these days, no one is going to help you.
Abortion should be a decision between a woman, her doctor and her God. I don’t want my tax dollars paying for it. And I don’t want to hear her whining about it later.
David Rosenberg No We aren’t talking about rape. That’s a crime against another.
Sound nice, but the governor vetoed the law and this is old statement.
Real doctors don’t do abortions
A ruling BY the supreme court effects only the case at hand. And honestly, the Fed has been overreaching for far too long. Abortions should be illegal in cases of accidental pregnancy. We are far too advanced as a country to not be responsible as women to controll weather or not we get pregnant. The law was vetoed anyhow.
Is this if it saves the mother’s life too? That would be an only reason to abort.
Refusing to allow abortions is forced slavery. Slavery is both immoral and illegal.
If you don’t like abortions, don’t have one.
Who do you think you are to tell any woman what she may or may not do in her private life and with her own body?
How about everyone on welfare for 5 years be sterilized? That would save a bundle which could be used to fund the removal of unwanted children from the womb. You all complain about your tax dollars funding abortions, but you don’t seem to mind supporting the unwanted children for 18 years and maybe for life.
