Five young Middle Eastern men were apprehended last week at the Mexican border by United States Border Patrol. The arrest happened in an Arizona town located about thirty miles from the Mexican border. The men were spotted crossing a ranch property near Amado, located thirty-five miles south of Tucson, with a population of 275 people.
What alarmed border patrol was the fact that two of them were carrying stainless steel cylinders in backpacks. This alarmed border patrol so much that they actually called in the Department of Homeland Security for backup.
Before long a plethora of federal agents descended on the property and the two men carrying the cylinders are believed to have been taken into custody by the FBI. Only three of the men’s names were entered into the Border Patrol’s E3 reporting system. The E3 is used to track apprehensions, detention hearings and removals of illegal immigrants, as well collects and transmits biography and biometric data.
