John Boehner’s quote is getting lots of attention: “Garbage men get used to the smell of bad garbage. Prisoners learn how to become prisoners, all right?”
His adjunct quote is more telling: “You can teach yourself to do anything, especially if you’re committed to a cause. I came to Washington to fight for a smaller, less costly and more accountable government.” More disparagement and lies from the speaker on the next page:
Politics is by definition compromise. If you are against compromise, you won’t get anything accomplished —and you won’t be serving the people who elected you. Refusing to compromise is allowing the other side to have everything. (Obama care is the law of the land. If Republicans had gotten involved it might be a better law and quite different —but refusing to compromise meant letting democrats have everything they wanted the way they wanted).
I don’t vote republican so my representatives can act like spoiled brats, won’t do anything unless it is exactly their way, and so don’t do anything and then spend all their time blaming others for how bad things are . Boehner at least knew that if he was going to get anything done, compromise was required. The far right is all hysteria and accomplishes nothing because they refuse to compromise. They are guaranteeing that democrats will be in control for a long time to come. I hate to see Boehner go. At least he was a man of reason and appeared so to the vast majority of people. The non-comproming right is making the republican party a pariah to a large part of the country.
Never thought I would Ever like Boehner but the more these whiny pathetic POS who apparently read this useless rag talk trash about him the more I like the guy. You pathetic whiny pansies are going to Love President Clinton LOL
