If you’ve been following the debate over GMO labeling, you know that American company, Monsanto has been against GMO labeling since day one. For those of you that don’t know what GMO labeling is, it’s the labeling of food products that contain high risk ingredients. The debate exists because GMO labeling would allegedly give an unfair advantage in the market to foods made of organic ingredients. In what many are calling an unexpected turn of events, Rand Paul has recently allied with Monsanto in his battle against GMO labeling.

Sorry, unless they lower the cost of organic food I will still buy GMO food as I have been for the past 37 years of my life. And I am not dead yet. Smh.

This article is coming from some organic food supporters that are desperate to assume anything they can. What Rand Paul is trying to do is avoid wasting tax payers money.
I think Rand is only trying to defend a free market. He’s not against labeling foods as “GMO-FREE” or “Organic”. He is only against having to label anything that contains GMO’s. Problem is that GMO’s simply shouldn’t be legal. People should know what they are buying when they buy it. So while I don’t agree with Rand on this topic. I wouldn’t jump in the bandwagon to call him a shill. I believe he’s doing what he believes is right as a libertarian and is still the best candidate.
Their GMO products should be labeled-they have no nutrients -and can cause cancer!
I am against making GMO food, and I look for the label “nonGMO” and “organic” when I shop. The Bible says to let every seed bring forth of it’s kind. The regulations already require “Certified Organic” to be non- GMO. There are some things the government needs to stay out of. I am big into alternative medicine, such as herbs. The FDA doesn’t test these things to make sure they aren’t placebos. From what I’ve heard, independent testing has found some at Walmart not to have the ingredients they purported. Do I want the government fix this? -no. I don’t trust them, and this would open the door for them to limit and regulate one of the few things we are free to use. We shouldn’t have to go to the border of Mexico to use alternative medicine.:)
