Decorated Marine Brandon Raub was arrested in 2012 for posting “controversial song lyrics, conspiracy theories related to 9/11 and talk of upcoming revolution” on Facebook. He wasn’t charged in a crime, but was forced to undergo psychological testing. A judge released him after a week stating there was no credible reason to hold him.
He has filed an appeal last month to have his lawsuit against authorities revived.

Well, just so it’s clear: his criticism alleging there was a conspiracy behind 911 wasn’t about Obama.. Obama wasn’t in office then (2001). He was alleging George Bush was involved in some sort of conspiracy.
That said, it doesn’t matter. The guidelines of the Uniform Code of Military Justice has different rules than the rest of us. Being caught in an extra marital affair? You can get discharged dishonorably, as an example.
The UCMJ prevents members from speaking openly against a superior officer, and has been the case for.. well, as long as I can research.. so we may not always like it, but frequently throughout history people have gotten in trouble with the UCMJ and speaking out against other officers.. it isn’t new.
