“Constitutional Scholar” Obama Criticizes Bush For Bypassing Congress

Oh how his tune has changed! In 2008 Senator Barack Obama criticized President Bush for using executive orders to circumvent Congress.

Now, in his second term as president, Obama has become known for two things: the train-wreck known as ObamaCare and an eagerness to side-step Congress. He’s using executive actions at every turn, doing exactly what he criticized his predecessor for!

Most recently, he summed up his new attitude, saying, “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” meaning he’s willing to simply rule by fiat.

The video clips below show what then-Senator Obama claimed back in 2008:

“The biggest problems we’re facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m president of the United States of America.”

“Ya know, I taught constitutional law for 10 years. I take the constitution very seriously,” – Barack Obama
