5.Timber Rattle Snake

If there is a snake that you will unintentionally cross paths with, it’s the Timber Rattlesnake. It would be best to  familiarize yourself with this snake’s features since it’s known to frequent homes, yards, and roadsides. It’s quite difficult to identify this snake because of its varied coloring from light grey to yellow. However, the pattern of its Chevron-shaped blotches make it more distinct. The Timber Rattlesnake is known to prey on rodents, but you don’t want to fool around this snake since it leaves one nasty bite and is venomous. If you live in Kansas, then you have probably heard of its stories or worse, encountered it!
