Nickolas Taylor, a fifth-grader from Stacy Middle School in Milford, MA, has been suspended for the mere act of pointing his finger ‘like a gun’ and making laser sounds.
“I think this is very slanderous toward Nickolas and his character,” stated Brian Taylor, the boy’s father. “It was non-threatening. He’s just a typical boy with an imagination.”

If these schools would concern themselves with teaching instead of over disciplining, our kids just might learn a few things. Kids see this behavior everywhere. You are going to discipline a kid because he mimics the behavior he sees daily? What happened to teaching him not to do it?
I raised three boys and I can tell you they had very active imaginations. This is over-reacting on the part of our governments. How can we expect little boys not to play cops and robbers as we did when we were children.
Let the parents handle any punishment. All little kids have done that when playing cowboys and such.
You shot me ouch. Kids who point fingers should be locked up for 10 years lol
Those that suspended him should be suspended.
Crazy
This is crazy. All kids have always played games & pointed their finger & nobody has ever got hurt with a pointing finger. It is just a game that children play.
Stupidity from the get go. Schools need to get real, and realize these are just kids playing.
…wish I’d known that worked…like 58 years ago…We used “stick guns”
this is going too far. down with political correctness
