9: Kevin Cavanaugh, House of Representatives, Arizona
Kevin Cavanaugh was born in an all American Tennessee family and later moved to Michigan with his family where he graduated high school.
Kevin is married to Samai, a beautiful Mexican immigrant, and theirs is a real love story. Kevin says of Samai, “After meeting on-line we emailed and talked on the phone for a year before we ever met. When we finally did meet, I discovered she was the nicest person I had ever met. I knew I had to marry her. She is still the nicest person I have ever met.”
In 1986 Kevin began working as a civilian for a police department in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan while attending college, and interning with the local Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin continued his work as a police officer after graduating from the police academy in Michigan. He stood against corrupt government officials, even testifying against his own police chief who had been drinking and driving and displaying a weapon during an interview of suspects.
Kevin understands business owners and their needs. Since 1991, Kevin has owned several businesses including retail, manufacturing, a printing company, private investigations, and a taxicab leasing company.
While it was Kevin’s intention to spend a full year at the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, he realized that Arizona’s Congressional District 1 (CD1) was not likely to be won by the same group of candidates who had failed many times prior. He decided to leave early to give himself enough time to fight for CD1. Kevin believes that America needs a super-majority in congress during President Trump’s last two years in office to undo the liberal policies of the past decades.

11: Dr. Kelli Ward, Senate, Arizona
As a former physician, Dr. Ward has provided care to her community through her private practice and work in emergency rooms, and she takes the same approach in caring for her constituents in Arizona. Dr. Ward entered politics in 2012 when she ran and won a seat in the Arizona State Senate. While serving two terms in office, Dr. Ward continued to practice medicine in the emergency departments in Lake Havasu City and Kingman, Arizona.
During her three years serving in the state legislature, Dr. Ward established a proven track record of passing legislation that supported small businesses, preserved the Second Amendment, decreased the size of government, fought the opioid crisis, protected vulnerable Arizona students and increased school choice. Dr. Ward was one the most effective leaders in the Arizona Senate during her final year in office, getting 19 separate bills through the legislature and to the governor’s desk.
In July 2015, Dr. Ward announced her candidacy for the United States Senate, challenging 34-year incumbent Sen. John McCain in the Republican primary in the 2016 election. Despite being outspent 10-to-1, Dr. Ward held Sen. McCain to his lowest historical primary total ever at 51 percent.
In October 2016, Dr. Ward announced that she would run to fill the open seat vacated by retiring Sen. Jeff Flake, one of President Trump’s loudest critics in the U.S. Senate. Dr. Ward believes in defending the Constitution, securing the border, repealing Obamacare, growing the economy and fixing the disastrous VA system for our veterans.
