200 Protest Islam Outside Phoenix Mosque, Part of Nationwide Protest

Organizer John Ritzheimer, who has also stated that he plans to march on Washington DC with an armed militia to remove lawmakers who supported the Iran deal,  said his actions and the overall movement are often misconstrued.

“I do not hate Muslim people, it is the ideology behind Islam,” Ritzheimer said. “Everyday they attack humanity, it is proven daily that they do not co-exist with anyone else.”

Phoenix police showed up in riot gear. Barricades were set up. Protesters were physically separated from Islamists. A few supporters of Islam caused minor issues according to Phoenix Police. There was one arrest on an unrelated warrant during a minor scuffle.

Protestors came from all walks of life. Laine Lawless was there because she believes gay feminists should be protesting Islam.

“We want to protest the culture takeover of Islam in the United States,” Lawless said. “We want to protest the way they live and the culture of terrorism and jihad and how they seem to think it’s okay to go around murdering people, raping women, molesting children, having sex with poor innocent animals and torturing people. They stone women to death because of adultery and things like that. It’s just not right. It’s not compatible with American values and culture.”

This is a continuing effort. A May protest came after a shootout outside a Prophet Muhammad cartoon-drawing contest in a Dallas suburb. In that noted incident two Phoenix Islamists showed up at the event with assault rifles and were killed by police. Those Muslims formerly worshiped at this particular Phoenix mosque.

Undoubtedly, as tensions heighten across the nation and around the world with Islamic incursions and confrontations there will be more protests here and at other mosques.
