3. North Korea has its own calendar

In North Korea, it’s 105 and not 2016. Their year started when the former leader Kim Il’-Sung was born on 15th April 1912. They call it the Juche calendar, it was adopted in the year 1997, and they started from 1912 to date. It’s not recognized by the rest of the world, and North Korea does not care. If that was not strange enough, they also decided in August 2015, to start following their time zone which is called “Pyongyang time.” They are now behind Japan and South Korea by half an hour. Talk about living on their terms, in their own time.
