13. Carrie Prejean
When she defended traditional marriage during the Q&A portion of the 2009 Miss USA pageant, Miss California Carrie Prejean’s remarks went viral.
Prejean reported that officials of the Miss California USA pageant pressured her to apologize for her statement and stop talking about her remarks if she wanted to win.
According to Wikipedia,
Donald Trump, who owns most of the Miss Universe Organization, defended Prejean’s answer, saying that “Miss California has done a wonderful job” and that “It wasn’t a bad answer. That was simply her belief.”
