Mrs. Genora Hamm Bigg boldly walked into church on Sunday morning after she had been asked via certified letter and signed by the congregation of Union Grove Baptist Church in Elberton, Georgia not to come. She had been removed from the membership rolls, where she had become a member at age 11, and the letter stated that she was no longer welcome on Sunday’s, all because she had exercised her God given right of freedom of conscience.
The police where actually called when she arrived at church, but the officer said this was a civil matter.
Mrs. Bigg had voiced her concerns about the theology of the newer pastor who was not sticking to the doctrines espoused by the Baptist church.
Biggs told the Banner-Herald that the problem comes down to doctrinal differences. The church has been a Baptist church throughout its history, but Mattox is a holiness preacher, according to Biggs.
“He is a holy sanctified minister or so he says,” Biggs said. “We voted him in and we didn’t know it until he was there. We are Baptists and that’s what we want to say.”
By exercising her freedom of conscience, Bigg experienced blow back from the church home she had had for over 90 years.

why?
So, so sad…..no reason for this…..
She should know the Bible. He should listen. It was probably a warning from GOD THAT HE NEEDED to take heed to. So very sad. Can’t even use our Freedom of Speech in the church. Why didn’t any member speak up and defend her? I would have.
This is what happens when you question the dogma fed to you by organized religion. Bet the dean’s all met and took up this discussion at the local pub after Wednesday night services! Lolol
i dont trust preachers they say what gets the oney from people
Come out of these churches,,God proclaims,,,Let them be gay,let them go broke,,let the tax man take them
