8. Hyena
Though a scavenger, the Hyena is not afraid to hunt. It’s also known, when given the chance, to develop a taste for human flesh as witnessed during Africa’s civil wars. The Hyena is known for its canning laugh and its strong jaws that are perfectly designed to crush bones.
Very large spotted hyenas are the most dangerous to humans, occurring mostly when people are forced to sleep outdoors near roads that cross through their territory. One report from 2004 indicates that 35 people were killed by spotted hyenas along one 20km-long stretch of road over a 12-month period!
Next on our list is a much bigger land animal. It is extremely dangerous because of its tendency to attack humans without provocation!
You forgot the mosquito
Is that a democrat or Republican. …
These list of most dangerous animals is so frustrating to read. Many of the animals on this list are completely harmless simply by avoiding them. You have to try really hard to die from a puffer fish. Just don’t eat the damn thing. Hippos kill more people every year than probably the hyena and Cape buffalo combined. Most venomous does not equate to most dangerous to humans. Mosquitos should have been number 1, 2, and 3 on this list.
It’s amazing now with digital technology that we can get up close and personal with these animals using virtual reality. Great list.
#1 should have been the mosquito…
